It has been over 20 years since pork “officially” became “the other white meat.” At a time when consumers were searching for healthy alternatives in their diets, an advertising campaign was created to separate pork away from other “red meats” (notably beef.) The catchy slogan branded pork as nutritious and healthy and was a tremendous success in the years that followed.
